Vacation in Sevilla!

We’re back from Sevilla, Spain this week, and happy to say that we had a great time there! It felt great to take a little break from our life in the fishbowl here in Azilal. In Spain, we were just another couple of tourists, and we enjoyed all the fantastic things Spain has to offer, such as:

1)      Spanish language (not so fantastic at first, but it got slightly better as we went)
2)      The ability for me to wear shorts, short sleeves, tank tops and (gasp!) even my bikini!
3)      Palaces to visit

Plaza de Espana

The Alcazar, a really fantastic example of the Moroccan influence in Sevilla

4)      Roman ruins to explore

5)      Parks to play (and geocache) in. Hooray for green space!

8)      And of course… food and drinks! The #1 thing PCVs look forward to when traveling.

This picture represents the things Moroccan PCVs crave: beer, pork and good cheese.

We’re glad to be back and looking forward to working at a couple summer camps next week – it’ll be hard work, but now that we’ve had our vacation, we’re ready for it!
